A Guide for the Faint Hearted! December 3, 2008 If you are going to Mumbai to stay in posh hotels and eat in fancy restaurants, this is the guide for you! The book has many full color pictures of expensive hotel rooms and restaurants. If money is no object you may be interested in the book. If you are on a budget, you will get very little from it. The guide does have a "What to do in 24 hours" section, but it is brief, vague, and does not relate important information such as how to get from place to place. After reading this guide I have come to the conclusion that there is nothing in Mumbai worth seeing except the Gateway of India and Elephant Island. I would have preferred less info on hotels/restaurants and more info on tourist attractions. On the bright side, the guide is compact and lightweight, perfect for taking with you when you travel. I just can't imagine any reason to take it with me.
Get one for every city you visit! April 1, 2008 Loved this booklet! It really made our time in Mumbai less of a mystery. Many travel guides recommend so many things to do that one can get discouraged when under time constraints. This book has a great "what to do in 24 hours" section that seems like the must do's while you are in a place. Also, the nightlife and restaurant recommendations were amazing! I will definitly get one of these for my next destination.
