Puerto Rico, Island in the Sun is a small "coffee-table" pictorial book (measuring 10 x 9") with color photographs and English-language text. The photographs and accompanying captions present the scenery, beaches, architecture, geography, culture, and history of Puerto Rico, with a special emphasis on aerial photographs and Viejo (Old) San Juan. A full page of text introduces each of the four chapters, which are: "Dawn" (dealing with the islands history); "La Isla del Encanto" (translation: "the Island of Enchantment"); "San Juan"; and "Island in the Sun". This is the fourth book on Puerto Rico from author-photographer Roger LaBrucherie, whose books on Barbados, Bermuda, the Dominican Republic, and Hawaii have made him one of the worlds leading photographers of tropical islands. His previous three tiles on Puerto Rico have been best-sellers on the island over the past two decades. In addition to his stunning award-winning photography, Mr. LaBrucherie brings to his work the perspective on the Caribbean gained from his training and service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, as well as his years spent living throughout the Caribbean.

Great book with descriptions and history of the island. Great color photographs.

This is an excellent book from Puerto Rico. It will help you if would like to share with others how beautiful is our island or if you live far away from PR and like to remeber and see beautiful images of PR. It offers a great variety of images from Old San Juan to Cabo Rojo's lighthouse.
The only complaint I have with the book is that some of the images are not recent other than that is a great book.
