3 out of 5 stars Mediocre   October 28, 2008
This is a small, 2.5" x 4" spiral with about 20 pages. There are a couple of rewordings of the same shortcuts. Not all encompassing. No background, or explanation. If it were for a student, then it should be 6x8 with explanations. If it were for a cockpit, it should be better formatted for quick access.

Unfortunately, there's not a single all-encompassing tome, so this is on the edge of being worthy of its cost; however, if you have a laser printer, and some time, you can find the same info online, and the act of collecting and formatting the info will help you learn it better.

5 out of 5 stars Thumbs UP   April 16, 2008
I highly recommend this book, It is a must have. I have learnt fast calculations I thought I'd never could without a calculator, I carry it with me always. Two thumbs up:-)

I was disappointed with this product. I ordered this book as a gift for a pilot who also teaches. I'm still going to give him the gift, but it looks as if I made it as a school project. Not high quality at all. And yeah, there's no index either. I really want to return this item, but I don't want to pay the return shipping fees.

P.S. If you click on the larger image of this "book," the image is actually larger than the real-life book.

4 out of 5 stars pilot's rules of thumb, easy aviation formulas   September 21, 2007

The book does contain many of the generalized ways of quickly working some of the problems confronted by an aviator. I was disappointed in the quality of print and paper.

1 out of 5 stars waste of money   July 31, 2007

Not as advertized. No index so you waste time fishing for the info. If you remember square root in your head or tanget angles then this is help full. lots of useless information. only 49 pages at 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
